The pain, she's still there....
My thumb may never be the same again. I am in real pain here, and to make matters worse, I keep banging it and the stupid thing bleeds again. I have to change the bandage and the pad is stuck to my thumb, so it's not going anywhere. At least until the Hubster comes home and he can help.
In other news, after a phone consult with my favorite pediatrician evah, we started Riley on some Zantac. She is so miserable and unhappy, and consequently the entire family is as well. I've never seen a baby so unhappy. The ped thinks that since one of my other kids has bad reflux, it wouldn't hurt to try her on a small dose for a week. I've tried tylenol, motrin, gripe water, rescue remedy, ambesol, etc etc, really anything I can think of to try to get her to just CALM THE HELL DOWN. Today was a bit better. She's actually playing on the floor by my feet, which almost never happens. Only time will tell, but maybe. Keep all your bendy parts crossed for me and for her, cuz I surely can't take much more of her crankiness.
I've got a long, really good post in my head about family, specifically mine, but it will have to wait until my thumb heals. I'm typing fairly well, but it's going to take some adaptation on my part to get used to not using my thumb. Maybe tomorrow.
OH! I forgot! The upstairs is finished!!!!!! I moved into our closet, and the girls closet today. The little girls bedroom is done, and when The Hubster has time off, we can get the beds apart and moved into there. Woo-hoo!!! New carpet goes in downstairs tomorrow, and then we should be just about D.O.N.E.

Wow, I didn't realize your thumb was that badly hurt. I always use the food holder, for that very reason. (Heard too many stories like yours.)
Yippee on the near finished house!! I know it's been tough going, but you can really stretch out now. Hope to see some photos soon.

Done? As in DONE? Really done? Punchlist done? Move-into done? Done done?
WOW!! YEAH!! YIPPEE!
I think you deserve a drink or, considering Miss Cranky-Pants, two.
(It's probably too late to see the dr about your thumb....but maybe not? Maybe some antibiotics would be a good idea- it's still hurting and oozing because it's getting infected?? Oy. Like you don't know this- sometimes I can't turn the 'mom' off...)
