Brandy

I like this! I hear you on the one fall shirt. Only I have just 2.

Hayes

Hanna Anderson had some nice stuff on sale for mamas. J Jill has good clearance too.

NY and company had nice cross front t-shirts, comfy, and ok for church!

Dear hacking cough,
please please please do NOT move into my chest and become bronchitits. I have things to do next week.

Dear Laura,
I love you! Thank you for taking my girls to see Disney on Ice so I didn;t have to do it., The fact that it falls on a night when Nathan is out of town is just icing on the cake. Also, the cake you made, delicious! Thanks a million for everything you do for me!

Kelley

That was brilliant!

I am doing NoBloPoMo, my husband is doing Movember and my teenagers are doing who can be totally frustrating for the whole month of November..... makes an interesting household.

Kelli

I credit the Wilbarger Brushing Technique with just a turning point that was so wonderful. When I was first introduced I admit I rolled my eyes and was like oh yeah this will work, but I doubtfully tried it and did it as instructed and WOW results were beyond wonderful now it has been 4 years since we needed it wow.

Rebecca

I was just thinking yesterday, it's time for me to write some "Dear ________" letters. It helps keep me sane :P

angie

Great post. Good idea. I might borrow it myself, as I'm doing napoblomo for the first time.

kalisah

Take heart. I, too, was the whiny, middle child with the dark hair.

Katie

Gah, I'm with you on the $75 tank refills. Yesterday mine was $72 and I was giddy.

Pat

HoneyCrisp apples may have a limited engagement, but at least I don't have to worry about what country they came from and that country's food inspection practices!

Kristen

Great post! I might steal this idea too. And I am doing NaBloPoMo too!

meritt

I second the 'coffee' and I am aghast at the newspaper company for tacking a tip on the bill without approval from you.

You want me to write a scathing letter to them for you? I'm good at that.

Flamenco Mom

Yes, thank God for the Wilbarger Brushing Technique. It was a tremendous house to my little Z; it's been about 4 years since we retired the brushes.

And yeah, what's up with these folks moving all the stock around? Are they trying to confuse us on purpose or what?

I'm doing NaBloPoMo too. This year I WILL make it through the entire month!

Jackie

must be a middle child with dark hair thing...my day is not complete without mine making an attempt at making my ears bleed, lol. She's also the only girl, maybe that's got something to do with. At least that's what I've always thought. My boys don't go to such extremes(or decibels). I'm attempting NaBloPoMo.

Kini

I agree!

Love my coffee, LOVE Autumn, NEED more clothes (that aren't stained or torn or just inappropriate), and definitely do not love the whining.

What's gas going for there? I filled up my little tank today for nearly $50 @ $3.24/gallon!!!!!! Damn petrol.

I'm trying to do NaBloPoMo AND NaNoWriMo (but I haven't figured out how to post my writing there). Good luck!! This is my first time, I know I'll need it. :)

Tiffany

I think I am crazy but I signed up to NaBloPoMo this month. So far I am 2 for 2!

patois

What a great post. Chock-full of great thoughts.

Yeah, I'm doing NaBloPoMo, but I usually post each day. I believe I will curse myself by being blase about it, but there you have it.

Belinda

Bella wanted a HoneyCrisp apple the other day, and I wouldn't get it for her, because it cost THREE DOLLARS. But now I feel bad.

And now, between you and Mir? *I* want to be Wilbarger brushed.

amy

I too hear you on the 2 shirts. I did try to do the target old navy spin today....didn't want to spend a lot since I'm still transitioning smaller. They had NOTHING....NADA...SQUAT. Also tried to use a J.Jill gift card but their color palatte for fall is sooooo washed out I may as well wear my old faded crap even though it is a size too large.
instead I ended up at Chico's and spent too much money but have 3 great shirts and 2 sweaters I'll wear to death and if I get even smaller all the better! It was thrilling to NOT be in the size 3 but start out buying a size 2. It's all good.
Not such a good fit when trying to buy warm walking/jogging apparel at Dicks. OMG that Under Armer stuff is like getting into a wet suit! So I ended up with extra large leggings so I wasn't out of breath just getting on my pants, skipped the UA shirt but did get an UA fleece to wear over any old cotton tee I may want to wear when walking. Hopefully this will be warm enough to get me through fall and the 5K on turkey day.

Daisy

I hear you on the fall shirts deal. I have lots of sweaters and turtlenecks, but it's not cold enough yet to wear them. Darn global warming...

About Me

  • Carmen Staicer is a whirlwind of energy and execution, who never sleeps and drinks way too much coffee. She works from home as Social Media Programs Manager for SheKnows, and is the mom to six kids, most of whom play instruments, sing or dance and all of whom are much smarter than she will ever be. In other words, her house is never ever quiet or still. A concentration of asthma, food allergies, spectrum disorders and learning disabilities means that she spends an awful lot of time second guessing herself and Dr. Googling, as well as learning to cook everything the family might like to eat. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, boxing (she has her Black Belt in Muay Thai), sleeping, exploring coffee shops, photography, ballet class and cooking. She excels in being a smart mouth and has her major in sarcasm, with a dual minor in BS studies and avoiding laundry.
