Tomorrow I am making:
- carrot souffle - a recipe that I got from my sister - it is one of the only things that my family requests every single holiday
- cheesy Risotto - I read a recipe that has my beloved Laughing Cow Garlic and Herb Spreadable Cheese stirred in at the end, and I'm hoping it's as good as it sounds
- homemade crescent rolls
- green beans
My only company will be my father in law, who is bringing the turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy and stuffing with him. Methinks I'm getting the better end of this swap.
Have a GREAT turkey day! My non American readers, enjoy your November 22!

Happy Thanksgiving, Carmen!

Happy Thanksgiving! We are having a "white Thanksgiving" in Denver with snow yesterday.
We start listening to Christmas music today. Not only do I know it's too early for many folks, just a few years back it would have been too early for me! Now, I love having the music on in the background during our Thanksgiving meal. We eat at noon so we can do something fun together afterwards. Usually that's board games, but our bowling alley is open today so we might try getting active. I also see some online shopping in my future! Do you have any non-eating traditions for the day?

You will have to post the risotto recipe if it turns out as good as you (and now I) are thinking.

Happy Thanksgiving, Carmen! Your dinner sounds good. Last year I cooked for 16 people, this year, only five. It's heavenly to have a quiet day this year.

That's a good deal!
I came down with the flu yesterday, on a 600 mile drive. I spent most of the day in bed today but felt well enough for a little of the Thanksgiving meal.

Carmen, I'm intrigued by the carrot soufflé... think you'd share the recipe?

Risotto--that sounds yummy. If it turns out will you post the recipe? I hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful.
