If a camera crew was there
With mad props to the May 2008 issue of Redbook.
First thing in the morning, what television show would your life most resemble?
One of their answers hit close to home for me - The Amazing Race - from the time you get up until the moment they walk into school, it's a race against time.
Actually, that's my entire day. Or, at least, it was today. I worked - made 300 sandwiches for tomorrow and served over 400 pieces of pizza - and then the fun started. One kid was picked up at 2:30, four at 3, one at 4, give the two littles a fast bath and hair washing and toss dinner on the table, one to soccer at 5:30, drop two off at scouts, go back to pick up the soccer star, drop her at home, pick up the one scout, take him home, mad dash for carrots and milk at the grocery, return to school to pick up the older scout, zip through the vitamin shop, and then pass out.
What television show does your life most resemble?
Father knows best, Leave it to Beaver, Family Feud? Roseanne, The Brady Bunch, Jon and Kate plus Eight? Everybody Loves Raymond, I Love Lucy, The Price is Right?

Not a show, a comic strip: Calvin and Hobbes. No joke.

My kids are always saying that we are Jon&Kate plus 8...I am Jon and my husband has Kate's tendencies....But I am a little shy of 8 kids..just the 6 and no more...

I feel like a slacker now reading this :P
hehe...I agree w/ Jen...it's Calvin & Hobbes for us ,too. With The Simpsons thrown in...and Malcolm in the Middle.
I've never even seen Jon & Kate but now I'll have to check it out. We are up to 7 kids at the moment.whee.

Out of those, I think Everyone Loves Raymond fits us pretty well (although my MIL is nicer most of the time). There's another TV show where the dad is dead on my husband but I'm blanking on the name at the moment. (Need caffeine...)

*lurker delurking*
My life is definetly a cross between Roseanne and I Love Lucy (I am the world's biggest klutz), with a son exactly like Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes.

Hmmm, closest to Everybody Loves Raymond. My hubs does not know what to do with the kids. At all. And my MIL? Controlling much, oh yeah!

Everybody loves Raymond, MIL plus single mama's boy brother in law. BIL not so funny in real life.
