Is that the phone?
Quick question:
What's your cell phone ring tone?
Right now, mine is Float, by Flogging Molly. I need to change it, though - my phone rings so often I'm starting to hate the song. Never a good idea.

She Will Be Loved by Maroon 5- I'm sick of it but I have a really old phone with silly polyphonic beeping and it's the only thing that sounds decent, other than the Super Mario theme song.

Depends who's calling. If it's my daughter it's a sweet little song that says "you're my honey bunch, sugar plum, pumpy umpy umpkin..." If it's my husband it's "Kickstart My Heart." If it's my mom it's "You Raise Me Up." If it's my little sister it's "Redneck Woman." If it's my best friend it's the theme from "Friends." Callers with unassigned ring tones play "Fishing in the Dark." and so on....

Did you know you can make your own ringtones for free???? If your phone has internet access, or you can connect your phone to the computer, you can download the tones. Go to www.phonezoo.com and register for free. Then load an mp3, figure out what part of the song you want to use, and away you go. I think it is very user-friendly. You can also use other members tones if they have made them public.
Right now I have 5 different ring tones, divided into friends, family, etc. Carrie Underwood is my main tone.
Hope that gives you something fun to do during the 3 day weekend. I always enjoy reading your blog!!

My regular ringtone: the phone and clock sounds from "24"
My mom & sister: an old fashioned-sounding phone, as in it actually RINGS like a bell
My husband: Steve Winwood's "Valerie" (my name)
My MIL: The Excorcist theme
My BIL: a train (he's a trainwreck)

I like this question. I like to think that your ringtone says a lot about you however, I have heard some really odd ones coming from people that, well, let's just say I was surprised. If my hubby calls it's Dave Matthews Band- Crash, if my sister calls it's Mercedes Benz by Janice Joplin (she drives and Benz and the song totally fits her) and anyone else- There for you by Damian Marley- awesome song by the way.

Standard sound called "bells" that sounds like (oh my gosh!) a phone ringing.
Personally, I dislike all the funkiness in ringtones. A few people I know have one that says "blah, blah, blah" when it rings. Quite annoying.

Main callers: Your Gonna Miss This
Husband: Not a Moment To Soon
Daughter: Not sure of the name but it is a Hannah Montana I might be a Rock Star or something like that.
Dad: Beer for My Horses
Mom: It's 5:00 somewhere

Mine is Stephen Colbert yelling, "Your phone is ringing! Your phone is ringing!"

When my husband calls, it's Chopin's Nocturne played by Joshua Bell. When my father, who lives in Alabama calls, it's Sweet Home Alabama. When someone calls from my home phone, it's the Wonder Pets singing "The phone - the phone is ring-ing, the phone, we'll be right there!" and if anyone else calls, it's one of two different portions of Vivaldi's Four Seasons Winter, played by Yo-Yo Ma. I like the classical ringtones, because I find they are less jarring, and less likely to make other people around me annoyed when my phone rings.

It's 'She Called Up', by Crowded House (from their new album Time on Earth). It's particularly cheesy, but makes me smile and my son dance every time it rings. Well worth the cheese factor?
"She called up, to tell me the news...."

Metallica's "Enter Sandman." When I hear it I feel like I'm at a Virginia Tech football game. Well, I used to anyway, before I heard it 1,000 times. I used to customize mine for each of my close friends and family but I was too lazy and cheap when I got my current service.

I meant to add that on my previous phone, I had different ring tones for different people, but I haven't had the opportunity to set them up on my new phone.
My mum used to have "She Will Have Her Way" by Neil Finn. My husband had "The Zephyr Song" (Red Hot Chilli Peppers), and the majority of others had Franz Ferdinand or Split Enz (the former is a newish UK rock band, and the latter is a 70's obscure NZ new-wave band - they rock!).

Take a chance on me by Abba.

I recorded all five of my kids and my husband screaming, "Answer your phone!" It's incredibly annoying, but very effective.
