Is not the name of the next porn flick, so get your mind out of the gutter. Does your mom know you think with that mind? Geesh.
When Allegra was five, she had her first hair cut, and she cut 14 inches from her waist length hair and donated it to Locks of Love. Five years later, she repeated it with 12 inches. Mackenzie did the same twice - with 10 and 12 inches, respectively. When Emma was four, she donated 8 inches and Riley did 8 when she was not quite four. Today they each did 8 inches a piece, bringing our family grand total to 80 inches.
Now, Locks of Love won't accept the smaller amounts, so we chose Pantene's Beautiful Lengths, and we donated in memory this time of a very special girl - Leah Chapman. She was the niece of our wonderful principal and she died from cancer not long ago. (Yes, I know that BL focuses mostly on women and breast cancer, but this was the closest that we could get and I really feel very strongly about donating the hair. I know that childhood cancer isn't breast cancer, but the sentiment is still the same.)
And I think they look pretty cute.

They both look adorable, and what a nice and thoughtful thing to do.

Adorable! Do they love it?

They are ADORABLE -- with a capital "Adore"
I so want to donate my own hair -- but sadly, I'm way too grey for anyone to accept for anything other than to sell it off to use the money. While I'm ok with that idea in theory, I'd so much rather to have my hair used.
Thus I'm thrilled there are other folks who aren't young and nearly totally grey to give hair. THANKS.

My youngest daughter did this when she was in high school. It was a wonderful experience for her and a blessing to see her practicing the spirit of giving.
Looks like your training is working. And those little acorns aren't falling far from the tree, eh? Good job ladies! (And I love the new bobs!)

Cute haircuts! What a wonderful thing they've done. They're learning to give of themselves at a young age.

One of my friends dh does this every year. He refers to himself as a hair farmer. Kudo's to your girls! LOVE to see little girls with nice cuts. Will make their summer hair grooming so much easier

I'm growing out my hair again to give it away for a third time. 14 inches the first time. 11 the second. I think I won't make it a fourth time before going all gray.
I love that the girls do this. How wonderful!

It never ceases to amaze me how much good your entire family seems to do for the rest of us. Even your little girls are donating to worthy causes. You must be a very proud mother, keep up the good work and I know God will bless your family in ways you'll never expect...
