There are two FANTASTIC giveaways going on over at DietsInReview. If you were following my twitter stream - and if you aren't, why not? - you'd have seen this: Two HOT giveaways! Biggest Loser Prize Pack http://bit.ly/vTh9p or the EA Sports Active for Wii http://bit.ly/18IIqO
And now, on to the questions. All of these were asked by the Marvelous, ever faithful Mm:
Any question at all? Wow. The mind boggles. Do you answer all your kids questions truthfully. For instance, when they ask you questions about your youth?
You are killing me. You expect me to answer THIS truthfully, knowing that many of my kids read here? OF COURSE I always tell the truth. (Except when I'm not. But it's kind of hard to figure out when that is...) Seriously, it depends upon the topic, the kid inquiring, the situation, and the lesson I'd like to impart.
I understand you have both son(s) and daughters. Do you leave "the
talk" with your son(s) to your husband and you take care of the girls?
Whoa. Heavy questions. If I remember correctly, I gave the kids a couple of books, we looked at them, separately and together, and I answered questions as they came up. I have always answered the questions that are asked of me. I've done both the boys and the girls. I'm an equal opportunity embarasser... Who does the talk in your house?
I know that on a bad day you, like myself, have eaten ice cream for supper in your jamies. But other than food, what are your guilty pleasures? What takes you away from it all, if just for half an hour?
I don't think I've ever eaten ice cream in my jammies - I'm not a huge fan of ice cream, although I do eat in on occasion. I'm far more likely to eat some of my homemade cookie dough or a bunch of lime tostitos. I do have a lot of guilty pleasures, though. I'll read anywhere, any time. I'll take myself out to eat on a moments notice. I spend lots of time online and tell everyone it's for work. I drink iced coffee every morning - although I consider that a necessity, not a guilty pleasure. I spend money getting my hair colored and cut every five weeks - I do feel guilty about that, but there's no way I'm gonna stop. Probably my number one guilty pleasure, though, would be to take a long, hot shower with about a million bajillion great body products - salt scrub, great shampoo and conditioner, good smelling lotion - and then early to bed with a really good book.
Ok, last one. If you could be enjoying the career of your choice, what would it be?
No contest. I'd be a famous, well published author touring the US promoting my best selling books. What would you say?

I'm not following you on Twitter because I can't find you!
And I'd be an occupational therapist.

I'd be a country/pop singer.
Did you know that?

It's almost always me giving answers to those questions, because it's almost always as I'm DRIVING THE CAR. Hello? Why now? Why not when we can cuddle up in private, with hugs and such?

Trying to find you on twitter with no luck. Can you please help me out? Thanks

Diet Coke is my guilty pleasure. I love being a housewife. It's my dream job. Although it would be nice to be a published author bringing in some extra money.

Guilty pleasure? Buying and reading books. *G* As for what I would like to be? A professional photographer. There's something about catching a moment in time, and the ability to hide behind the camera to do it.

Coffee, 3 cups, with real cream, just a shot. Every morning, or the day is not good.
A hot shower, a bed, and a good book.
Full-time Mom with a small business on the side, instead full-time business woman with a family on the side.

Guilty pleasure, but after 23 years of encouragement by DH losing the guilt: at 9:00 PM I am done with housework for the night and we usually watch a TV show or part of a movie together. Great cable shows out on DVD through Netflix are the best, as a season takes us just a few weeks. Lost, Heroes, Battlestar. Often watched in my jammies, in bed.
Dream job - full-time homemaker and community volunteer.

guilty pleasure - purdy's chocolate (vancouver) or reese's PB cups which we can't get here in oz.
dream job - to be wealthy enough from my paintings to hire ppl to do the menial stuff so that I can focus on the kids and my painting & quilting.

Hi Carmen, I'd like to know why you are an advocate of big families -- I'm not judging at all! My question is not intended at all as a commentary or asking you to justify your choices -- I'm just curious. As the soon to be Mama of just one child, I'm wondering about the health and benefits of a large family versus a very small ( one child) family. Although, I'm a single mama, adopting a baby -- I don't know that I'll be able to do more -- but wondering if I "should" -- even though I hate "shoulding" myself!

Turn about is fair play so I answer my own questions:
In my house I do ALL the talks with my kids as if I left things up to my husband nothing would get discussed.
Generally I tell the truth unless of course I am lying. But the kids at this point can tell the difference.
Guilty pleasure? Trashy magazine in my room with nobody bothering me, or driving down the highway singing my tunes at top height.
The career of my choice was to be a lawyer; to be paid to argue? Dream job. However, now that I have three kids I know I would fail miserably with the supermom complex. And hey, that's ok.
