Michele

I'm not following you on Twitter because I can't find you!

And I'd be an occupational therapist.

Headless Mom

I'd be a country/pop singer.

Did you know that?

Anna

It's almost always me giving answers to those questions, because it's almost always as I'm DRIVING THE CAR. Hello? Why now? Why not when we can cuddle up in private, with hugs and such?

Tammy Meadows

Trying to find you on twitter with no luck. Can you please help me out? Thanks

Young Wife

Diet Coke is my guilty pleasure. I love being a housewife. It's my dream job. Although it would be nice to be a published author bringing in some extra money.

Brandy

Guilty pleasure? Buying and reading books. *G* As for what I would like to be? A professional photographer. There's something about catching a moment in time, and the ability to hide behind the camera to do it.

I'm going to start up my Family Fued voice here. "GOOD ANSWERS! GO TEAM!" :)

Kate's Mama

Coffee, 3 cups, with real cream, just a shot. Every morning, or the day is not good.

A hot shower, a bed, and a good book.

Full-time Mom with a small business on the side, instead full-time business woman with a family on the side.

BeeBelle

Guilty pleasure, but after 23 years of encouragement by DH losing the guilt: at 9:00 PM I am done with housework for the night and we usually watch a TV show or part of a movie together. Great cable shows out on DVD through Netflix are the best, as a season takes us just a few weeks. Lost, Heroes, Battlestar. Often watched in my jammies, in bed.

Dream job - full-time homemaker and community volunteer.

mel

guilty pleasure - purdy's chocolate (vancouver) or reese's PB cups which we can't get here in oz.

dream job - to be wealthy enough from my paintings to hire ppl to do the menial stuff so that I can focus on the kids and my painting & quilting.

Hi Carmen, I'd like to know why you are an advocate of big families -- I'm not judging at all! My question is not intended at all as a commentary or asking you to justify your choices -- I'm just curious. As the soon to be Mama of just one child, I'm wondering about the health and benefits of a large family versus a very small ( one child) family. Although, I'm a single mama, adopting a baby -- I don't know that I'll be able to do more -- but wondering if I "should" -- even though I hate "shoulding" myself!

Turn about is fair play so I answer my own questions:
In my house I do ALL the talks with my kids as if I left things up to my husband nothing would get discussed.

Generally I tell the truth unless of course I am lying. But the kids at this point can tell the difference.

Guilty pleasure? Trashy magazine in my room with nobody bothering me, or driving down the highway singing my tunes at top height.

The career of my choice was to be a lawyer; to be paid to argue? Dream job. However, now that I have three kids I know I would fail miserably with the supermom complex. And hey, that's ok.

About Me

  • WANTED, Carmen, mom to the Masses, for dangerous undertakings inside and outside the home. Last seen with her partner The Hubster, and six accomplices (Nikolas 19, Allegra 17, Mackenzie 14, Gabriel 12, Emma 9 and Riley 8). This fugitive is considered armed (with epi pens and inhalers) and dangerous, especially when she hasn't had her morning coffee. She is particularly difficult to recognize due to an 80 pound weight loss (size 18-20 down to 6-8!), and has been known to hide beneath large piles of laundry. She's a fan of running races, has her Black Belt in Muay Thai and can be found reading, training Crossfit, boxing or running to the store for milk and bread. And coffee. Always the Coffee.
