Random and mundane is all below the fold, but this is very extremely important:
I first met Anissa in person at Blogher last year, although I had known her online for quite a while. I've often been known as a woman with bigger than average boobs - F cup, down from J - and she and I were the Big Bewbed Twins, although hers were much bigger and more impressive than I'll EVER be. When I met her in July, it was as if I'd met a long lost sister. Anissa suffered a stroke yesterday and is currently in ICU. I spent last night and today in total and complete shock, for if there was ever a person who deserved a smooth ride for the rest of her life - seriously, she had a stroke in 04 and has a daughter who has been suffering from Leukemia - it would be Anissa. Please, please - pray for Anissa. Please.
And now, on to the Random.
I puffy heart Glee.
I finally found a great nightgown. FINALLY. I wanted a short sleeve nightgown that wasn't slutty and wasn't matronly and something I could wear in front of my kids. After venting my woes on Twitter, I was directed to Garnet Hill, once again - and and this time I was successful. I can't wait.
I can't quite believe it, but I'm more than just about 1/2 way finished with my holiday shopping. I'm more stunned than you - apparently, it WORKS to buy a bit at a time.
I found, FINALLY, the best pot roast recipe - and it's all thanks to Kalisah. She works for The Neely's, and when they appeared on the Today Show, I watched just to see if she'd appear. They made this roast, and I tried it, and OMG. Never making another.
This is one of the best things I read all day.
My kids love Eggo waffles. SRSLY - the three younger ones could eat them every single day. I compromise and buy the Nutrigrain ones, or the whole wheat ones, but they can be difficult to find. Reading that there is a shortage - and, hello, there is a pumpkin shortage as well! - guess I'll be getting the waffle iron out again.
There are new reviews up at Scrutiny, and SOMEWHERE over there is a giveaway for a Wii Fit Board. Go look. It's worth it. :)
Starting tomorrow, I swear to begin answering the questions you all asked me.
Let's see, what else? Emma was invited to join the gifted reading program AND the Black Belt Club in Muay Thai.
I think that's the random for today. Oh, wait - I've been asked to be one of the MomSpotters for Blogher - which has nothing to do with "spotting" - although, hell, topic for another day, the return of the uber heavy periods - and everything to do with being a Mom and a twitter-er and using a cell phone. So if you aren't already following me on Twitter (mttsm), get ready to read how I use technology to keep my family in line.

waiting for the Random to continue! YAY! for a nightgown. (first?)

Has your midwife suggested a uterine ablation? My doc talked about it the last time I was in and told me to think about it. You might want to look into it. TMI, maybe, but it might be just what you need.

ya random! i realized yesterday I am done for 2 of my kids! ya me! This years theme for me has been "a sh*tfree cmas". This means i buy no junk, even if you ask santa super nicely. Remember the ready beds? Trash same week. And no guessing for my teens! Too many $$$ video games no one likes! Plus this year; budget baby. :)

Remember well those joys of perimenopause. I used to feel I should buy stock in Personal Care Products!

The waffle shortage makes my daughters very sad.
I had been wondering what the Momspotting hashtag meant for awhile.
