Neil, over at Citizen of the Month, did a great experiment last year, titled The Great Interview Experiment. History and a more elaborate explanation can be found here, but the basic gist is that every one, every blog, has a story to share. Sign up and you will interview the person who commented just before you. It's a rockin' great way to find some awesome new blogs. Today I'd like to introduce you to Lindsay of I Digress. She's awesome and interesting and very, very humorous, and I had a blast reading through her archives.
My questions and her answers are below.
1 - I see that you have decided to become a CASA representative, and in
your post detailing this, you quote the opening from one of my favorite
crime show EVER. Have you ever danced to the theme from Law and Order? Alone or with your husband?
The way I dance is to have some drinks and then wave my arms in the air, and my husband dances like Elaine, so we stay away from dancing. However, my husband plays a mean kind of air guitar in which the dog is the guitar, and that has definitely happened to the theme of Law and Order.
2- You wrote about eating a full of fat meal and ending up in the bathroom for hours. What is your favorite brand of soap, shampoo, body scrub and razor to use while you are in there?
I am a product junkie, so I change it up, but here are the basics:
I take a bath every night, and right now I am obsessed with Dresdner Essenz Traditional Herbal Bath Powder in Rosemint. My all time favorite is Lush Big Blue Bath Bombs. Seriously, they are transcendent.
I am a simple soap girl, so I usually have Dove on hand.
My favorite shampoo/conditioner is Sleek Look by Matrix. The smell of it reminds me of my wedding day.
The best body scrub is mixing sea salt and olive oil together and scrubbing away. You can't buy results that good!
As far as razors go, Venus all the way. Old school pink style!
3 - Did you ever finish the second sock to complete the pair that you began in May of 2009? Why only one sock? What color are the socks? Where are they now?
No, I didn't! So you knit socks one at a time, which often produces
the dreaded "second sock syndrome" where you finish the first and are
ready for a new project. The real reason that I didn't knit another
one was that the first one was a little big baggy and not something I
wanted to wear. So why do a second sucky sock? I moved on to bigger
and better things. The sock is pink, and it is shoved on a shelf in my
craft area. I'm keeping it, because if I ever meet a one footed person
that likes baggy socks, I will be like the best gift giver ever.
4 - On the topic of Chocolate and Peanut Butter - white or dark or milk chocolate? Crunchy or creamy peanut butter? Ever eaten white chocolate peanut butter?
Dark chocolate, any kind of of peanut butter. I have never had white
chocolate peanut butter but it sounds dreamy. When I have PMS that
cannot be stopped I dip white chocolate covered pretzels into creamy
peanut butter for a nice, low cal treat. (SNORT)
5 - If you wrote your own obituary, what would be the best line?
She made us laugh and loved us hard.
6 - You write a lot about music. What is your number one favorite, sing in the shower, belt out at the top of your voice song?
I
am a terrible singer, so I don't sing in the shower, but when I am in
the car with safety backup of the cd player on volume 25, I sing my
heart out to Teegan and Sara's "Call It Off", or TI's "Dead and Gone".
7 - What is your favorite post on your own blog? Why?
I think it would have to be A Wedding, In Pieces.
I was so tired and such an emotionally abused bridesmaid that the
entire weekend had a dreamlike quality about it. Family was falling
apart, storms were rolling in, eighties music was playing, we were all
in taffeta - it was a surreal time. I think that I got lucky and was
able to capture that in this post.
That being said, the most positive feedback I've received is about my trip to Kmart, so you never know what people will respond to.
