Otherwise known as, day 2 of NaBloPoMo and she's stretching ALREADY? You all gave me some great writing ideas - if you have more, let me know!
Check over at Scrutiny, where the two $100 visa gift card giveaways are still going strong, you can win a $50 gift card to The Children's Place, a copy of Ice Age, and, quite possibly, a bottle of laundry detergent. Score on all counts!
I saw this on A Girl and Her Life and many of the categories fit my life so well I swiped it.
THINGS I CAN'T STOP BUYING ALTHOUGH I DON'T NEED ANY MORE:
- cereal
- dvds for the kids
- magazines
- sprays and such to straighten my frizzy hair
- t shirts, especially funny ones
THINGS I HAVE TOO MUCH OF BUT CAN'T GET RID OF:
- gray hair
- laundry
- sarcasm
- fat
- exhaustion
- single socks - for when I do, the mate appears. It's a curse.
- dishes
- half empty boxes of cereal with ripped lids that everyone is tired of eating and no one wants to finish
- "important" pieces of paper from my little girls
- Lego pieces. I swear that they reproduce at night.
THINGS I JUST CAN'T DO NO MATTER HOW HARD I TRY:
- teach my kids to clean a bathroom
- meditate
- stay off the injury list
- stop eating cupcakes
- get my kids to answer the phone without checking the caller ID first
- pull ups
- understand the Vampire phenomenon
- understand why I've been seeing Christmas commercials since Oct 1
- understand the words to many of the songs my big kids enjoy
- rationalize why many boys wear their pants around their butt crack
- knit, sew anything more elaborate than a sun dress or pajama pants
- motivate myself to do sit ups

Ooh, I hear ya on the sit ups.

I do one sit up every morning when I get out of bed and sometimes (on a good day) I do another in the afternoon after a nap. If I do any more than that I just don't sleep at night. ;)

half empty boxes, I hear ya there. And products for frizzy hair. I must have a million bottles of "crap" I finally found one thing that works, pantene for frizzy hair.. but then it feels like you have a months worth of wax build up on your hair the next day =-(

I'm with you on the cereal. I finally pulled all the little baggies out of the pantry and combined them into one big container. I told the kids it's mystery breakfast.

I like the mystery cereal idea- kind of like GORP for the cartoon crowd. I buy way too many magazines, pen holders (?), hair products, lotions & salsa. Apparently I find salsa fascinating which is weird bc I can only eat onle wimpy mild kind. We never have enough white socks- can NOT figure out where they r going. Kids need them on Tues & Thurs for gym uniforms, also son needs them Mon & Wed for flag football. Have too much clutter in house , too much cellulite on my butt & cold germs that will not die. So many things I can not figure out how to do I'd run out of room trying to list them all.

Frizzy hair: order ye some Morrocan Oil ASAP. Get the oil, not the creme. It is worth every cent. A little goes a long way.

You may be reaching, but it's a good read. And one I can relate to. I hear you on the cereal. I may try that mystery breakfast thing. *G*

Magazines! Oh, yes. Especially when I can get subscriptions for rewards points. Why am I still paying for them?
