There's not much that I'm certain of, but I know good and well that I will never do some activities, no matter HOW much you might pay me. Some of them are things I've already done, and the love just.wasn't.there.
I know that I will never:
- go camping. Seriously. I did tons of it as a kid and there is no excitement for me in sleeping outside, among the bugs and animals, on top of roots and pinecones.
- Bungee Jump
- Deep Sea Diving
- Sky Diving
- Sword fight - after watching 2 of the instructors during a performance and at the end, one needed 9 stitches across the hand, I pretty much decided that was not for me.
- Eat Sushi. I KNOW I'm in the minority, but I can't stand it.
- Win the Energizer giveaway. Nope. Not me. Augh.

Skydiving,
have any more kids :-)
Understand why my husband decides to discuss bills in bed at midnight.

I won't ever sell my house and travel around the country in an RV, either. No matter how hard my husband tries to convince me.
I will never watch lowest-common-denominator reality TV like The Hills or Jersey Shore or Real Housewives or the Kardashians, etc. etc. etc. I'd rather gnaw my own arm off than sit through that crap.
And I won't camp either. That just sounds like pure torture to me.

Nope, not crazy. I'll never bungee jump, sky dive, deep sea dive, or eat sushi. No wonder we're such good friends. The ONLY reason I'm going camping this weekend is A) it's only about 40 minutes away, B) it's less than 48 hours, C) it's the only scout thing that we've done as a family and the boys wanted to do it. Normally, my idea of roughing it is a Motel 6 without cable or internet. I'd send you a boatload of money if I had any to give, you know that, right?

haha... I did enough camping as a kid as well- even in a camper with all the bells and whistles! I wouldn't do it again though. Honestly? Just too much work. Also, sushi? I don't get it. It's hype and that's what makes people like it. It's "trendy". Ick.

With you on most of those. Love SUSHI though. Like one of my all time favorites. Snow ski - why my limbs are in perfectly good shape as they are....

Love sushi ... Won't ever
A) eat pork
B) deep sea dive since I don't know how to swim
C) climb any mountain hill or even a modestly sized cliff.
D) go on any rides that drop you from an insane height like 200 feet (at amusement arks)

Camp...I was in the Army for three years and that cured me of any desire to go camping ever again...try camping in Germany in January...frostbite

Look, you just haven't lived until you've sky-dived into the middle of a sword-fight while eating sushi and then camped overnight before bungee-jumping off a cliff in scuba gear to retrieve the Energizer giveaway sure-fire-winner token from the sea-floor.
You're clearly doing it all wrong ;-)

I will do camping, but I do agree with you on the rest of the list. I will also not ride roller coaster rides or anything 6 feet off the ground. Well, I fly in airplanes, but barely. I will never fly to Hawaii, even if it is free.

You've pretty much hit everything on my list. I'm petrified of heights; the 2nd of the mall makes me queasy. As for camping, we lived in Africa for years as missionaries so I've done the whole outdoors thing to the max! Not my idea of fun at all.

I only eat vegetable sushi.
Camping is o.k. but mostly in the fall. I don't like roller coasters either.

One of my first dates with my husband was sky diving. It was the one and only time I did it. I figured after I found my husband I didn't need to keep doing stupid things to impress the guys...

I like eating *one* bit of sushi, and then I can't handle any more.
I'm pretty sure I will never enjoy amusement parks.
And I'll never understand why my husband insists on bringing up difficult issues (like bills!) at midnight, either.

Only because I did so much of it as a kid with my Dad and 5 brothers, I will never again spend a day in a canoe on a river, fishing for catfish (or croakers or rockfish or spot or any other fish you can think of). That applies to Bay fishing on a boat, too!
Posted by: Pat | July 23, 2010 at 11:24 AM
I will never go boating, on purpose. I'd get on a ferry? but that's it!
Be rich? yep never going to happen.

Love your list. Ditto. I'd add eating raw oysters, and snails. Never, never. My Dad had a motto--"lips that touch snails will never touch mine"--my DH knows I feel that way, too.

Go on Survivor.
Knowingly touch a snake.

I agree with most of your list (except for camping - love it). I will never have blue as a color in my house, agree with previous commenters about reality tv - can't waste my time, have a bird, reptile or rodent (hamsters, gerbils, rats, etc) as a pet, live in a state where it snows more than once a year.

...divorce... till death do us part, even if it has to be arranged....
...eat haggis...
...have any more kids... three kids, three cats, and a dog is enough.
...let my work interfere with my life and family... no one gets to the end of their life and wishes they'd spent more time at the office. Besides, your kids will pick your nursing home...

I will never ever never camp. Almost "everyone" in my small town does it and we won't. Never ever. We do all of the camping associated activities like swimming, boating, fishing, riding bikes, having a camp fire in our own backyard but then we get to sleep in our own beds at night! Amazing!
I will also never have any more than our three kids. Not physically possible and hubby and I are ok with that. Disappointed but ok.
I will also never bungee jump. Too chicken.
I like reading these!
