First off, I'm pondering reopening my diet and exercise site. I wanted to post once a week with tips on diet, exercise and keeping that New Year's Resolution. If you would be interested, would you let me know? I'm feeling the need to be accountable - but I'd do it once a week for ease.
Second, I'm still posting at Diets In Review. I'm going to pick back up with posting snippets of my posts over there, as teasers - and it's for a really good idea. I really don't want to overwhelm you guys, but if I have the highest traffic in the month of January - I,uh, could win myself an iPAD. I'd really appreciate your help.
I have only successfully kept one New Year's Resolution in my life. I decided, in 2005, that I was sick of being fat and out of shape and I set out to lose weight. I did, too - 80 pounds over the course of 18 months. (I did let a few pounds creep back, so I'm CERTAIN you can imagine what I'm pledging this year?)
Riley made her own list of ideas, and I thought I'd share them with you. She called it a "To Help!" list. Anything with a checkmark has already been accomplished. (She works quickly.)
1 - Help Mom with Chores
2- Be kind - PS - Golden Rule
3- do disis (dishes)
4 - dodst (dust)
5 - do not eat flaor (flour) - most helpful when baking cookies
6- vackum - vacuum
7 - giving
8 - do not fit (she left out "throw a")
9 - if some one gets hart cor them up! - (If someone gets hurt, cheer them up!)
I think, actually, this is a pretty good list for all of us.
Except, maybe, the eating flour part.

You know that I stalk you everywhere you write....

I'd be doing well if I could keep myself to #8 some days. I'd like to keep reading where ever you post.

I would love it if you opened your diet and exercise site again. I miss it. I too have let some pounds creep back on and could use some motivation.

I would most definitely read your ELFF diet site (or new site as the case may be).
I already read you at Diets In Review but I think it is a good idea to post snippets here that link to there.
I'm glad you translated because I was trying to figure out what do not eat FLOOR meant.

Would love the diet site! I started reading your blog when you were losing the weight and I had lost 50lbs. Well, I have gained 30 or so back and have resolved to get rid of them for good!! Would love to read your tips!! :)

Since my new year's resolution involves finally getting serious about my weight and exercise, I would be very interested in hearing more.

Please reopen your diet and exercise site. Would definitely follow.

I'd read your diet and excercie site. I am on my own weight loss journey, 58 lbs since the end of June with 40 more to go!

Definitely could use the diet and exercise site right now. I have not weighed myself in three weeks, and am afraid to do so now!

I'd love it if you had the ELFF site back up and running! As always, losing the weight (nearly 100 pounds how on earth did I let it get that bad??) is on the top of my resolutions. I haven't kept that resolution yet, but 2011 will be my year!
Please do post links to diets in review here. I often forget to check over there.
Riley's list is great! She's going to need a new sheet for all the checkmarks she is acquiring!

HA! She has written a Ta Da list, rather than a To Do list. Love it. Those are always more fun anyway.
I'm big on exercise, not on diet. I only eat carbs and veggies, and there isn't much room for change as long as those are my parameters. but I like you and I'll read whatever you write, even if it's about stuff I wouldn't eat. yaknow?

I would read your blog if you re-opened it, although isn't the writing you do for Diets in Review similar? I'm fine with you linking/posting teasers to that. Just trying to save you some work...
Riley's list is cute -- and impressive. Do all first graders write that well these days?

I admit to going over yesterday and checking your elff blog to see if you started over there again for the new year. Probably around the same time as you I also started taking better care...in the past 2 years I have completely let go and am now starting fresh again.
I'm attempting to stay out of my head so much and to quit beating myself up mentally for every little set back and instead look at what I did well. Easier said then done, but hey it's a start. Hopefully this is the year I relose that freaking 30 lbs AGAIN and break through the plateau that allowed me to free fall for the past 2 1/2 years getting me back to zero.

I would read it. Sounds like your daughter has 2011 figured out-that's great! :)

I miss reading your diet/exercise site so I'd be there for sure. And I love this list, little ones are very profound!

Yes! Please bring back your other website! I loved reading that blog too!

Please bring back the ELFF site!

Well done Riley! Great list, and interesting that they are all things to help others (even the flour one!). I'm so impressed that so many are already ticked off!
Would definitely read your diet site, please restart it. I lost 35 lbs in the July - December of 2010 and need to start back at it after a Christmas lapse. I'm sure you could help motivate me.

Open it up again, or can you combine it with this site?
Posted by: Jennifer | January 03, 2011 at 04:57 PM
Aw, that's adorable and well thought-out! I got a little stuck on #9, though. I kept reading "hart cor" as "hard core"...which had me wondering what the heck kids are talking about these days. Plus, I'm so totally the opposite of hard-core, that it's hilarious that it even occurred to *me*. Then I figured it out. Well, you explained it to me. High-five, Riley! :)

Would LOVE you to re "open" teh ELFF site. Even though I am still catching up on the archives, I would love new too!! This is going to be the resolution I actually stick with this year!!

What a SWEET list!!!
