I wanted to post this early on Friday, so it could run all day. Yeah. I should NEVER make plans.
I've spent a few grumbly days - asthma, kids on steroids (aka the crazy makers), boyfriend issues, arguments with my husband, bills that multiply in the dark, money that leaves, my van being back from the shop TWO DAYS before it's back in AGAIN - the list could go on and on and on.
Instead, I'm going to list a few of my favorite things. I'd love it if you'd play along - either here or at your own place.
My gloves. I had to buy new ones because my old ones walked off, and that REALLY chapped me. WHO takes someone's 4 year old gloves - which, because they are four years old are really in bad shape? So I had to get new ones, and I was really upset, because, hello, these suckers are spendy. I'm so glad I did, though. I love these things and what they represent.
My coffee. Vietnamese coffee. Every morning, and maybe once a week in the afternoon. BEST.STUFF.EVER.
- Pasta with Bolognese Sauce
- Oatmeal bread, hot from the oven
- Satellite radio
- My phone
- I Love Lucy being shown from 6-8 every morning - which means I get to see three episodes
- Empty laundry hampers
- Sleeping children
- Great friends to call and the phone who will listen to me vent without judgement - but who aren't afraid to call me on it as well
- Makeup to make me feel pretty
- A great hair stylist
- oversize sweaters, leggings and boots
- Lush Shampoo Bars, especially Karma Komba

leggings you say? did you know Avon sells those? :P hahha That's a great list of favorites.

Someone else bringing me a hot cup of strong, black coffee, NOT having to cook dinner, early morning walk with the dog and NO ONE ELSE, reading a great book, Klondike bars, lemon-lime seltzer water, a really, really cold Heineken, and having the freedom to home school my kids.

Friends, my brother (who knows when to be there and when to step back), college 30 yrs later, stimulating adult conversations (& silly little kid conversations). Spring, flowers, reclaiming myself. Clean sheets (& towels). Jewelry (that I make & that I buy). The possibility of winning the lottery because it allows me to dream about what I'd do with the $, AND make budget plans for some of those splurges. Then I get to ease them into play in my life.

my brain is fried and I am sitting here staring at the screen listening to Barney yelp because someone went upstairs without her.
I am thankful for awesome friends and the computer in which they came to me by.
(that makes sense, right?)
