It's a deeply polarizing issue, one that threatens to split our people clearly in two separate - yet equally diverse - halves, and I'm curious to know where you, my lovely readers, stand.
Are you ready? It's such a divisive question that I'm almost afraid to ask.
Will you get up to watch the Royal Wedding?
Or do you just not care?
Me? Meh.
I was up at 4 to see Princess Diana wed, and up for the funeral - I was awake and nursing/rocking an infant Mackenzie at the time - but I'm so definitely not getting up for this one. I'll admit that I do have some interest in seeing the dress and if she chooses to wear a tiara, but not enough to get up at 4.
What are your thoughts?

Nope but I'll probably try to see pics of the dress (I have a weird burning passion for wedding dresses) when I get up at 6am to get the kids awake and off to school.

i'm up at 4:30 every morning anyway. my dvr is already set.
i'm also going to a viewing party later in the morning. of course we will view it on the dvr, but we are having tea, sconces, teas sandwiches, and the 2 and 3 year olds are dressing up in their princess clothes to have teas. i'll be cute.
i remember getting up to watch princess diana and prince charles get married when i was 10 years old. also, i remember diana's funeral. everyone loves a fairy tale. plus it's an historical moment.

setting the DVR- gotta love that thing! My 11 year old daughter asked me to tape it today- I guess friends were talking about it- I didn't even know it was about to happen!

I remember being in high school and getting up at 6 am to watch Diana's wedding and being glued to the TV during the death/funeral coverage years later. I will PVR this wedding though - too old to get up at 4 am! I'm Canadian so it's almost a patriotic duty.

No, but I wish I owed a DVR so I could record it and then have a "girl's night" viewing later. That sounds fun to me.

no way

Exactly. I don't think I care enough to get up. Well, actually I might, but if it's too much effort, I might just go back to sleep :) I was far more interested in Princess Diana and wish she was still around. I'm not quite sure Wills and Kate will have the same star power.

I'll be watching, but since I live over here in Europe it isn't too difficult. Will park myself on the couch after I take the kids to school.

i just got up at 6 to get ready for work and caught her walking down the aisle! I can imagine it would have been disappointing to get up at 3 or 4 just to see the guests walk in! LOL

Not. I even came to your blog before looking for "the wedding" info. ;-)

Never even considered getting up early for it, but I did look at pics and videos this morning. There were some crazy interesting hats worn to the wedding!

Being in England I didn't have to get up at the crack of dawn to see it, but I wouldn't have missed it even if I had to.
Watched the whole thing, with a glass of cava, and had a tear in my eye several times. I felt very proud to be British, and was reminded that we do pageantry superbly.
Have just come home from a party on our bunting-hung village green (almost all of the 80-odd people who live in my hamlet were there), where we had fish and chips from the local mobile fish and chip van. A wonderful day.

I split the difference... got up at 5 and watched the preshow while I got dressed so I could watch the real thing and still get out the door on time!
