I'm in Chicago for a brief 48 hours.
I'm not going to lie and say that I'm hating it. I'm currently in a hotel room, a-l-o-n-e.
Debating if I have the energy to go downstairs and look for some dinner, or just eat the chocolate chip cookie I was given at check in. Before I left my house in a limo with a driver, though, I had to go to Wal-Mart for toilet paper, laundry detergent, dish soap and dishwasher detergent.
The dichotomy of my life, yo.
Why am I in Chicago? I have been invited to visit Gatorade headquarters in Chicago with other Sports Moms to learn about the science behind Gatorade. We've got a full day of learning planned from Gatorade scientists and sport nutritionists about how nutrition and fuel help our young athletes’ performance.
Have something to ask the powers that be at Gatorade? Lay it on me and I'll try my hardest to get it done.
I've got a great giveaway, in fact FOUR great giveaways, for you to win, but you're going to have to check it out on my review blog.
Right now, I'm going to enjoy some quiet. It's definitely needed.

The only thing that comes to my mind (and it seems a kinda dumb question); I have been told that Gatorade is not as effective for kids as it is for adults. I've always wondered if that was true... And by all means, ENJOY your time alone! You fully deserve it, woman :)

I was once told that because of the sugar in gatorade, it isn't the best choice for electrolyte replenishment in situations like vomiting. Is this true?

My son asked me to get him Gatorade when I was at Sam's Club yesterday. Back in the day I think the choice was either blue or orange.
The different varieties can't just be about flavor (how is G2 different, for instance)?

sugar and artificial sweetners - are they really needed?

My question is, is Gatorade really necessary compared to plain water for most athletes or people working out? I can definitely understand the benefit for, say, a high school football player who is working out for several hours a day. But an adolescent girl I know who plays lacrosse attends practice twice a week for an hour, and her games are an hour. Does she really need anything more than water?
I don't really expect the Gatorade folks to give an unbiased answer but thought I'd ask anyway :) Have fun!

Not a question but a bravo comment. Thank you for coming out with G2. I was not a fan of Gatorade- don't love the taste, hate the sugar. But G2 is a dream come true at our house. Since I've lost 82 lbs (with more still to go) I am careful about not drinking my calories. I've also started running and am training for a half marathon and have to pay attention to hydration. G2 is my saving grace! It is great for hydration but without the calories! I LOVE IT! And my kids love it too and don't really notice the difference between Gatorade and G2. Bravo Gatorade Peeps!

What makes Gatorade better than Powerade? My kids drink G2 after their MA workouts, as recommended better for them than regular Gatorade by a personal trainer.

Why does Gatorade upset my stomach? I've only ever used it on long runs (more than 8 miles, > an hour). Can they recommend anything to avoid it? I know of other runners who have the same problem.

I don't have a gatorade question; I just wanted to say I hope you're thoroughly enjoying the peace and quiet. All mommies need it a lot more than they get it!

Does gatorade have stimulants in like caffeine? If so, how does it compare to a cup of coffee?
