Do you ever have a day that is just so Ahhhhh!!! and URGH! along with a side of grrrrrrrr?
No. Hmm. Mebee it's just me.
Let me illustrate. I'll use bullet points. Because I'm too TIRED of being AGGRAVATED.
- I took Gabe to the doctor. We left in plenty of time. Mysteriously, I had no gas in my car. SOMEONE drove it off. So we stopped for gas. Aggravation #1.
- We got to the next city, where the appt was located. The biggest intersection was closed. 4 lanes, each way, plus turn lanes - all closed - because they decided it would be a good idea to paint the lines of the intersection. At 10 a.m. Which meant we sat for 20 minutes. Which made us l-a-t-e. Even though we left e-a-r-l-y.
- I got home to a house full of screaming people.
- I went to the thrift store to find extra bedsheets - we are having a ton of company this weekend - and all I wanted to do was look for a pair of shoes. This woman stood in the aisle and would not move. In fact, I asked (politely!) if she could move, and she looked me dead in the face, said Nope!, and then she SMILED and turned her back on me. I was tempted to hit her with my shopping cart.
- I was turned down for my sponsorship application, which means that unless someone wants to give me a flight or airmiles (haha, I KILL myself) I probably won't be able to make it to Blogher. This makes me unbelievably sad.
- When I came home, I asked Emma to go upstairs to get me something. For some UNKNOWN reason, she went upstairs carrying her 10 oz strawberry yogurt smoothie. You know where this is going. She started screaming almost immediately, and I came around the corner to see the smoothie had been dropped. She managed to hit every.single.step, the walls, the pictures and the floor below. She's talented. We are planning for a career in juggling for her.
- We have a carpet cleaner coming tomorrow. At 8 a.m. The stairs smell very, uh, fruity and see also: people arriving tomorrow.
- My camera still has not appeared. I'm ridiculously upset and very distraught.
- I finally finished a book that was sent to me for review. It's the only book in my entire life that I hated so much I threw it away. Yes. I did.
- I had to get my eyebrows waxed - again with the arriving company and the reality that I'm going on a trip. The esthetician told me that she'd really recommend waxing my chin, and threw it in for free - that's how much she thought I needed it. Swell.
- I went to the dentist, had a filling removed and replaced with a medicated filling. If that doesn't work - it's ROOT CANAL TIME.
- My evening workout consisted of about a zillion burpees. I hate burpees.
Tomorrow had better by God be better.

Oh, honey. That just sucks. Sometimes the worst days aren't the ones with a large catastrophe, but the ones where a million small things go wrong and it feels like being pecked to death by ducks. I really hope tomorrow makes it up to you.

That most definitely falls in the category of "terrible, horrible, no good, very bad, day!!" One time, I had the most aggravating 45 minutes imaginable... it's a long story, so let's just say I had no idea so much stuff could go wrong taking my daughter to her soccer game, then briefly leaving to get gas (in the van) and some breakfast sandwiches. By the time I made it back to the soccer field, I was really wishing Valium were available as breath mints!! LOL And yes, also wondering what book it was...

I would normally say "full moon" but today is the new moon. :-(

Burpees... Sounds like you are into crossfit, amazing how I missed that before now... So how does one donate air miles to a good cause?

It can only get better...

You gotta tell us what book it was. You don't want us wasting our hard earned money on it when you could have saved us, do you? Reviews don't only have to be positive - we need to hear the negative ones too.
