(Apparently formatting is screwy. Ignore the lack of spacing here)
So. I apparently decided that my summer was not stressful enough. That I had nothing to do. That my mind was perfectly sane and my sanity was fully in place and I could handle anything that my kids sent my way.
I decided to drive to Texas to visit with my dd and stepmom. It's a long trip, about 18 hours, according to Mapquest, and so I broke it up into a real, honest to God, travel across half of the country
ROAD TRIP..
Step one is completed. I'm in Atlanta, or close enough by it to be legal, and the trip that the GPS said would take 9 hours took 11.
My husband sent me on 95 instead of 85.
Not that I'm bitter or anything.
We will be here for two days, in order for my sanity to renew. Then I'm going to Memphis to hang with Kalisa - and because I'm typing on a phone I can't link to her blog. Long time readers here should know about her, she's one of my greatest friends.
THEN, and only then, will I drive 10 ( or so, time is apparently a fluid concept for us on this trip) hours to spend 6 days with my dad. I'll be returning home a different way to hang with other, non blogging, friends.
Pray for me. We've already had fights and arguments and mommy used the *very quiet* voice - the one that comes AFTER the yelling, when you really mean business.
Keep checking back for *all* the scoop.

Wow, you rock! In the last 100 miles give everyone a pack of lifesavers. You get one every ten miles....it works!

Be safe! And um, it's HOT here. Be prepared for the drought. (If your dad lives where I think he lives...if not, disregard that comment. lol)

You are indeed brave. And maybe a little crazy? Hope you have fun!

Yes, it is HOT, and yes, we are in a severe drought. However, there is still plenty of water in the lake. Can't wait to see you guys! Good luck with the remainder of the trip!

I don't think I would tackle that and I only have 2 kids. They fight just going to summer camp in the morning. Peace be with you :)

So, sanity is way overrated! And just think no one will convict you as long as there is at least one Mom on the jury.... Good Luck and maybe a few martinis for you.

We drove from Chicago to Orlando a few years ago. Atlanta was our mid-way stop as well. Have a great time and enjoy some TX bbq while at it. :)

I love road trips. Last summer we did a 5000K mile one from NJ to NM and back. I love seeing the country, I love how the landscape changes. I love how you have a destination every day. My goal now is to do California and back. Next summer I hope. Have fun. You and your children will love it!

I love the formatting (or lack thereof.) This reads like you drank 20 cups of coffee before you wrote it :)
