I made a promise to myself, way back when I first started pinning stuff on Pinterest, that I'd actually DO some of it.
Some of the things I've pinned I can't do. They are places I'd love to visit -
Scotland
Or my favorite place ever (so far!)
New York City
But many of the things I pin are either recipes I'd like to try, clothes I would love to buy, or hairstyles and such. So I thought, in the interest of keeping it real, I'd post some of the things I've tried and how they worked or didn't.
First up - Farmer's White Bread. LOVE IT. Best white bread recipe ever.
Cherry Coconut Bars - I thought these were ok but everyone who ate them RAVED on them
My husband has requested Breaded Garlic Chicken in Lemon Butter Sauce for dinner at least once a week
Peach butter TO DIE FOR
I bought OPI nail polish in Russian Navy, You Don't Know Jacques and Romeo and Juliet and loved them all.
I exercised with Kendra at Blogher
And did the 100 Workout when I had no workout planned
And also, a sign for my kitchen
We've done Sock Buns and Beach Curls. We did mini flipped ponytails. I tried DESPERATELY to tie a head scarf like this, but my head must be weirdly shaped, because it never, ever works.
I bought boots that, sadly, had to be returned as I have ENORMOUS calves.
These Salted Butter Bars are Nik's favorite cookies.
And I found about a ZILLION sarcastic sayings that I would love to print up for my house.
What have you found on pinterest that you've either bought or made or had success with and can share?

Okay, I love those boots! I also have the enormous calf problem. Even after losing 125 pounds, my calves are huge. I can only wear ankle boots and they have to be wide width. I hate my legs :).

Totally trying that chicken later this week.
I need to write down that workout so the next time we do it you won't totally humiliate me like you did this year. Heh.

Love the chicken recipe, but what temperature do you bake it at? I could guess. but that doesn't always work out for me!

Although I don't have an account of my own on Pinterest, I love your links to items you've found. The scarf tutorial was great, and I spent ages on that site finding out how to do things I've been failing at for years! Please keep them coming.

So the head scarf thing. Yes, I'm with you. My head is funky and I could not do this either. You have to have a beautifully shaped head--one that would look good without hair probably. The back of my head is flat and I cannot keep a scarf on. This really sucked when we lived in central asia and it was culturally appropriate to wear a head scarf in the villages. Hello bobby pins!!!

Your comment about boots reminded of one of my dad's favorite jokes. "Cowboys love your mother because of those fat calves." Insensitive maybe, but they've been together 40+ years
I have to try that 100 workout
