I'm in the black belt rotation at the martial arts school in which my kids and I train. I've talked about this rotation before - tests on sit ups, push ups, running and endurance rounds. Probably talked about it so oten that you are sick of reading about it.
I'm totally frustrated in my training right now, for reasons that are far too complex and personal to go into here. I've contemplated, more times that I should probably admit, tossing up my hands and walking away from the entire effort. I do not even know, at this point, why I am still training.
Two minutes. 40 kicks, 20 knees. My shin guards came undone about half way through and apparently I punched my instructor in the face when I caught his kick - although I don't have any recollection of doing so. That was instinctual. So maybe not a bad thing.
I have yet to watch this video. I won't - I hate to watch myself on film.

Thanks for sharing the video! I read your tweet about not feeling into your workouts lately, and I wanted to hear more. You are inspiring, Carmen, with all that you've managed to do with your life. Don't give up! Your fitness and health are worth it.

Don't quit! It is always worth it. You are testing yourself for yourself. The end result will be success! NO matter the outcome.

I think you did very well. And instinctive punching is not always a bad thing. *g*
