She begged to be able to do a Turkey Trot. When pressed, she admitted, "I just want a cool shirt. Like everyone else has a running shirt."
So I signed us up for a 1 mile Turkey Trot. Only 6 of us - 2 didn't want to run at all.
Stretching is very important before you run any distance...
And when you get too tired to finish your distance, Daddy has been known to carry a shorty or two on his back...
Happy Thanksgiving!!

Happy Thanksgiving Carmen & Family! I hope you're enjoying all the yummy treats as I write this. :)

too cute, we watch the parade, roasted the turkey, and had lots of cousins over. The girls loved it.

How much fun! My cousin told me today that she ran the 11 miles from her house to the San Antonio Turkey Trot, did the 4 mile Turkey Trot and then ran home. Personally I think she is a certified nutcase! I am not sure how we ended up related by blood either. :)

how cute that your daughter wanted the shirt. give here a couple of years and she'll be running the trot with y'all. what a great healthy tradition to do for turkey day.
by the way, i made your corn pudding instead of cream corn casserole. WAY better and the crust is the best. haha
