Midway through the day, I realized that I had no clue where my wallet was. I searched and all of the usual hiding places, but it was nowhere to be found.
So I dumped my purse. Evidence as seen.
It wasn't in the purse, but I found multiple empty wrappers, funeral papers, squashed Lara bars and cough drops, and lots of other stuff that I had no clue was even in my bag.
But no wallet.I panicked and started looking everywhere. I looked in the car, I looked all around the house, and I grew more and more frantic as I searched. Finally, after close to two hours, it was located: and I have no idea how it got in my raincoat. It wasn't raining the last time I remember seeing my wallet, I'm not in the habit of tucking my wallet into my coat, and I have absolutely zero memory of the entire scenario.
At least I got a clean purse out of the whole thing. From the looks of the mess I photographed, maybe it was a blessing in disguise.

I once left my purse in a shopping cart at Farm Fresh. A man found it and called me, thank goodness for good Samaritans! Glad you found your wallet!

I can relate on both, I've replaced my debit card twice and I had just put it in a different place, plus I just cleaned out my purse and it was just as bad (I think worse)
So glad you found it, that is such a stresser...

Yep, looks like my purse. But I would have a lot of scrunched, used tissues as well. Yik.
Glad you found your wallet.
When my son was a baby, I once foolishly put my wallet on top of the car to get him out of his car seat. While I had an arm full of baby I heard steps behind me and a young boy ran up, grabbed my wallet and ran off with it! I called out 'Stop, thief!' but everyone looked at me instead of him! I had to put baby back safely in car then jumped back in and took off after him but he was long gone. That wallet was found in someone's backyard four years later! Luckily I had checked my money before getting out of the car and had only $10 cash but the nuisance of replacing everything else was a real pain. I NEVER put my wallet (or anything) on top of my car anymore!

I loved seeing the picture of your purse contents. I cleaned mine out on New Year's Day, a little present to myself to start the new year. Yay, me. I had so many stinking receipts in there from groceries. I really should be grateful that we had money to buy groceries but I do think receipts for fun purchases would have been more fun to look at. :-)
