Today was a busy day.
Not at first. I spent quite a chunk of time this morning, in bed, reading a very, very gripping book. I'll be doing a book review this week, but suffice it to say, it was the best book I've read in a long time.
Then I got up, and as the saying goes, the ____ hit the fan.
I took four kids and we trolled the city, looking everywhere, to find appropriate white sneakers for school. Think that's easy? Think again. I don't understand what it is with these kids, I mean, I just bought them shoes in August.
<wink>
Then we went for haircuts. Three of my girls got their incredibly long hair cut. One of them lost more than 6 inches, and the other two 5.
Then we went for a two cart grocery spin. Man, I really know how to blow out the fun on a good day don't I?
The final topping: folding wash. WOW. I did it. A stereotypical housewife day.
How did you spend your Saturday?
Running errands like you. And then the closing shift at work. So, ya lotsa fun here too.

Flag football practise and game this morning, grocery shopping in the afternoon all by myself! Then Hubby took Charlie and 2 friends to Monster Jam for Charlie's 7th birthday and I scrapbooked with a friend. So all in all, not to bad of a day. I even managed to lay down for an hour in the afternoon.

My husband and I cleaned out the garage... a gargantuan task that I have been emotionally preparing him (and his pack rat tendencies) for almost SIX YEARS. It was awesome!
Did you donate your girls' hair?

Looking forward to finding out what you were reading! Haven't gotten very far with Crossed. It definitely hasn't grabbed me like Matched. But, like you, I like to finish books, so I will hang in there.

I ran errands all day and drove my daughter around half the day. Of course I also went to Zumba, so I'm happy.

I'm cringing while typing... For the first time ever since having kids, I stayed in bed and watched TV. I did a few loads of dishes and laundry, but that's about it. It was awesome.

i spent saturday lounging until cleaning my entire house from top to bottom in preparation of meeting my dad's new girlfriend. made a huge dinner and had them over. it was WORK, man. WORK.
