It appears that my flaw this past two weeks was in a substantial lack of meal planning.
Well, one flaw, anyway. Let's agree to avoid mentioning the others, m'kay?
I must remedy this. Hmmmm. Maybe I could make it an ongoing blog posting idea - and everyone could contribute. What do you think? Too much work? Stupid idea? Something that might be interesting, or something you'd not want to read and so you'd skip this blog a bit more often than you do now?
Inquiring minds want to know. :)
So, here are the menus for week:
French Dip Crescents with salad - this was tonight and they were OFF THE CHARTS yummy. I used Boar's Head LondonPort and put two slices of each and one slice of Havarti in each roll. So awesome.
Roxanne's Pulled Pork on buns with baked fries and broccoli - which is very similar to a recipe that my cousin Tammy sent me, and I'm going to kinda combine both, bastardize them and come up with something either awesome or ferociously fearsome.
Kendra's Hawaiian Meatballs with rice and peas
Cheese Buns - so not a meal but a snacky type thing that I can't WAIT to eat
Beef with Red Wine Sauce with noodles and green beans
Homemade Cheese Pizza - we use dough from Trader Joe's ($1, and yes - I know I could make my own, but this is super good and easy)
Baked KFC chicken - with baked sweet potatoes and salad.

love the idea! after 22 years, I'm out of meal ideas...

I'm with you! Meal planning is the key. It's when I try to wing it that everything falls apart and we have take out pizza 3 times a week. I love the idea of cool, fast sandwich meals, and if you have anything low-cal (for us on diets!), I'd LOVE it!

Check with @Sassymonkey for her weekly meal plans. Between her, Jenna and you I can come up with a decent plan for the week.
Meal planning certainly helps me through out the week.

Dough for a $1? yes! I'd buy that too. :) I'm making spaghetti tonight. I seem to only manage to play suppers. I'm thinking Pizza tomorrow night, Wednesdays are crazy busy and I eat later than the family so I think it's chicken burgers (breasts on buns) and spicy baked fries. I'll probably have leftovers when I get home from running around. Thursday, small toupee Ham with mash potatoes and boiled carrots. Friday... hmmmmm this is where I never feel like cooking because it's Friday.
