I know this was hard to write. I can relate so much to this post. It saddens me when family members are critical of one another. How I wish we could all count on our family members to be our biggest champions, our biggest supporters, our biggest encourages. I remain thankful for friends who are like family and for family members who are there for me. I love you and I consider you my friend AND my family. I am blessed to have both in you.

This was not an exhausting post to read nor was it difficult to read. I read FREEDOM and TRUTH which is liberating. Truly...LIBERATING. Relationships are messy. People are messy. We all need to grow up and as you say OWN when we make mistakes. Being someone who tends to be more sensitive and am now 51 years of age - I realize that I can take a deep breath and listen to someone and not take things personally. There are pressures in all families and sometimes it is best to keep the mouth shut and move on. Great work Carmen. Many blessings to you and your family.

About Me

  • Carmen Staicer is a whirlwind of energy and execution, who never sleeps and drinks way too much coffee. She works from home as Social Media Programs Manager for SheKnows, and is the mom to six kids, most of whom play instruments, sing or dance and all of whom are much smarter than she will ever be. In other words, her house is never ever quiet or still. A concentration of asthma, food allergies, spectrum disorders and learning disabilities means that she spends an awful lot of time second guessing herself and Dr. Googling, as well as learning to cook everything the family might like to eat. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, boxing (she has her Black Belt in Muay Thai), sleeping, exploring coffee shops, photography, ballet class and cooking. She excels in being a smart mouth and has her major in sarcasm, with a dual minor in BS studies and avoiding laundry.
