I'm midway through my trip to Japan and it has been an amazing and illuminating experience that has taught me so much.
The Japanese people are warm and kind, very welcoming and friendly. The cities are clean and bright and everyone does everything they can to make travelers feel at ease.
Learning experiences are not always easy or carefree, though, are they, and I've had a lot to process. I'll have a lot to share when I get back to the States. I really, really need to take my time and think about what I want to say and how I want to say it.
In the mean time, I want to share a few images. Please enjoy!

I successfully navigated a coffee shop and ordered coffee - three times! - in very broken and halting Japanese. But I did it!
We did a cook your own dinner one night - it was delicious!
