This post is part of a sponsored series from Ubisoft, celebrating "12 Days of Giveaways." See below for how you can enter up to 12 times to win fun and family-friendly video game!
My daughter Emma is a NUT for animals. She loves animals of all kinds, but especially dogs. I knew she'd love the game Petz Nursery 2, for Nintendo DS, based solely on the cover. (It's covered with dogs, lol.) Happily, this game did not disappoint. At the start, you have the ability to take care of up to 22 baby pets. You help them grow. They begin as newborns, needing to be picked up and played with, and eventually you get to teach them to crawl. At bedtime, you help them fall asleep by rocking them or singing them a lullaby.
All Emma's favorite activites.
The difference between the first and second edition of this game: with Petz Nursery 2, you can raise TWO animals at once. Beware - we found out the hard way, when you devote more attention to one animal, the second doesn't grow as quickly. Try to keep it even - hey, it's just like raising real animals! The animals can play together and will even try to eat each others food.
You can unlock more animals, the longer you play, and many of them are exotic - pandas, penguins, polar bears. Don't give your child this game if you have somewhere else to be, and I also recommend headphones for your player if you are (ahem, like me) somewhat distractable and bothered by baby/animal noises.
Want to win a copy of this great game? Leave me a comment, telling me who you'd give the game to. I'll draw a winner on 11/30, who has 48 hours to get back to me - otherwise, you forfeit - and that's NO FUN.
I was selected to participate in this sponsored series by Ubisoft and Clever Girls Collective. I received a video game and compensation for my participation in this program. We believe in Blog With Integrity.
Please visit these participating bloggers for more chances to win games, including Just Dance 2 (Wii), Battle of Giants: Dinosaur Strike (Wii), Petz Fantasy (DS) and Petz Nursery (DS)! This program will run from 11/22 to 12/3.

My daughter, the only kid our dog doesn't try to maul (in a friendly, licking way, of course), would absolutely LOVE this. The very first DS game she bought on her own was a pet game.

I would give it to my daughter who has decided to be a vet when she grows up. As she says, "so none of the animals are in pain or alone." What a kid!

I would give this game to my daughter, Kaitlyn. She would absolutely love it! She's been wanting a pet but, unfortunately, I am allergic to most animals, even though I love them too.
