My kids have always been a creative bunch, but my two youngest girls have upped the anty a bit. They are always coloring, cutting, gluing - creativity runs deep in their blood. I was happy to discover the Heinz Ketchup Creativity Contest - it looks as if it's right up my girls' alley!
From the site:
Dip it, dunk it, squirt it, love it! Ketchup is bold, bright and full of possibilities! With the Heinz Ketchup Creativity contest, it can also be artistic, educational and rewarding!
Since 2006, Heinz has been sponsoring the Creativity Contest-where kids from K-12 compete to have their design spotlighted on the front of millions of Heinz Ketchup packets across the US. That's not the only award, however - the 11 winners from various grade levels are awarded a $1,000 prize and an additional $1,000 for art supplies for their schools (and $1000 worth of ketchup). One lucky grand prize winner earns an astounding $5,700 prize and an additional $1,000 for his/her school, the winning artwork showcased on Heinz Ketchup packets AND bottles across the country and a visit to their school by internationally-acclaimed pop artist Burton Morris! What's not to love about that?
The contest is easily run by schools, with lesson plans and templates to follow, but it is also open to homeschool students as well. You simply check out the rules, print out the form and let your child get busy being creative. All entries are due by March 4. At that time, all of the entries will be judged by Burton Morris, 3 finalists will be picked and America will get to vote for the winner.
So get your artwork done by MARCH 4th and submit it by mail or electronically - you don't even need to go to the post office for a stamp! Vote for the artworks starting April 4th–and look for your artist’s packet in the Winner’s Gallery in May!
Not only that, but I'm privileged to offer a giveaway of Burton Morris' book POP! To enter, please leave me a comment telling me your favorite way to eat Heinz Ketchup - for me, the ONLY way is on fresh, hot salty french fries!
While this post is sponsored by Heinz, the thoughts and opinions expressed in this post are all my own.

I agree hot salty fries are awesome with ketchup or as a base for home made sloppy joe's!!

In college we had a french fry vending machine. There were even little salt and ketchup packets. That has to be my favorite ketchup memory :-) However, my family does like beef stroganof which has ketchup in it.

My kids LIVE for ketchup, and I must admit that I don't like french fries without it.
It's also delightful on any kind of fried potato, be it cubes, wedges, shredded, or the traditional pommes-frites :-)

My fave way to eat kechup is mixed with mayo with some hot & salty fries.
