"Try Walgreens Brand Health & Wellness products. Visit the site for more information”
I'll admit - I'm a pretty frugal shopper. The pantry at my house is full of Great Value labels, and my kids know that they should always chose the cheaper choice - unless I've already done so and found it to be less than satisfactory. Such is the life in a larger than normal size family.
One area I don't skimp, though, is drugstore products. I almost always buy name brand products there. For whatever reason, I'm much more adventurous when it comes to tomatoes and juice than suncreen and toothpaste. I was recently asked to try out the Walgreens brand products and my checkbook is happy to report that it was an experiment done right.
Walgreens Brand Health & Wellness Products are a great value, allowing families and individuals to save money without sacrificing quality or trust. With the rising cost of health care, saving money on over-the-counter medications can really benefit a family’s budget. In addition to being an exceptional value, Walgreens Brand Health & Wellness Products:
· a. Are Walgreens pharmacist recommended.
· b. Most contain the same active ingredients as other national brands.
· c. Have a 100% satisfaction guarantee.
The Walgreens Brand Health line is extensive. It includes Cough/Cold, Pain, Sleep, Allergy, First Aid, Antacids, Vitamins, Smoking Cessation, Incontinence, Laxatives, Feminine Hygiene, Ointments, Eye/Ear, Foot, Suncare, Dental, Toothbrush, Nutritional Supplements, Mouthwash, Acne and Diet Aids
I've been diagnosed with Stage 2 Melanoma and I'm a fierce advocate of the sunblock. I typically suck it up and purchase the most expensive sunblock that I can find, hoping that it will be the most effective in prolonging my life. Non one wants to hear "The lab results are malignant" and if you can avoid that - hopefully - with some sunblock - who wouldn't want that? I purchased two Walgreens brand sunblock products - Sheer Dry touch Suncreen, Spf 55 and Sheer Sunscreen Roller, also SPF 55. The bottle size, label and descriptors were identical to the Neutrogena line that I always purchase. Both offer the Photostable Complex, a broad spectrum uva-uvb range with Parasol 1789, that is found in my oft purchased Neutrogena. The only difference between the two product lines? A full 40% discount on price for the Walgreens Brand product. Hmmmm.
I took this sunblock on a trip to Tucson. My husband and I both used it all weekend, and we were happy to report that it worked wonderfully. Both products went on smoothly, were not sticky and worked exactly as sunblock is supposed to - which means that we are still as white as we were before the vacation. All kidding aside, I was impressed by the sunblock, which was identical in all ways to the brand name I always purchase, but at a substantial savings.
I also purchased the Walgreens Brand Cold medicine - yup, you guessed it, I got a COLD two days before my trip, and it was a doozy. I purchased the daytime extended relief and it worked exactly as it was supposed to - I wasn't tired (well, any more that I already was!), I could breath and the sneezing stopped for a while. At a fraction of the label cost for the Dayquil.
Methinks I'll be increasing my purchases of Walgreens Brand Health and Wellness products.

I have used Waldryl, which is the Walgreen's version of Benedryl. It worked great and wasn't as expensive as the name brand.

I'm in the thick of potting training my two year old, who seems a tad reluctant, but interested in learning nonetheless. I wonder if Walgreens has their own brand of training pants or items like that. I've sampled store brands before. Some work well and some are just terrible. I'm always willing to try out store brands because they do tend to be cheaper.
Also, being a fan of Excedrin Migraine, I've tried to by the store brand because the name brand is pricey. I've tried one other store brand - it was cheaper and just as effective. I would think Walgreens would have something comparable and would love to eventually check it out!

I love Walgreen brand products. My favourite is their Super Pro-Biotic, it costs far less than all the other probiotics out there, and has far more of the active cultures in it as well. Been using it for over a year and it's made a huge difference in the way I feel. I think I'd like to try that sunblock--I have very pale skin that seems to burn just going from my house to my car!

I'm always dubious about the store brand until I try it and then more than half the time I like it just as well. Now I'm dying to try the sunscreen. I just can NOT believe how expensive brand name sunscreen is and I'm honeymooning at the beach and will definitely need to stock up!

I'd like to try the Walgreens ibuprofen.

Woops, I just re-read my comment and I definitely meant potty training, not potting training lol!

I'd like to try the suncreen. I have some of the predispositions for skin cancer (blonde hair, fair skin, blue eyes) and have gotten much more serious in the past couple of years about wearing sunscreen. Thanks for the opportunity!
I am a little hesitant to go with the store brands on some things too, but I've also found the Target brand to be great, and I love how they give you direct comparisons to the name brands on the labels. I've used their versions of Eucerin, contact lens cleaner, Softsoap milk and honey soap and even Tampax tampons and found all to be no different from the much more expensive brand names. I use a lot of their store brand products and have always been satisfied. Glad to hear Walgreen's is also good.

Good to know about the sunscreen. I too purchase the uber-expensive neutrogena. I will give the far less costly Walgreens brand a try. Thanks for the info.

As my husband just recently retired, I've found myself buying more and more store brands to make our dollar stretch a little farther. Much to my delight I have almost always been just as satisfied.
I see Waldryl in my future!

I definitely would like to try the Dry Touch Sheer Suncreen. Gardening season has started and the kids and I will be spending lots of time outside. I haven't been as diligent in the past about the sunblock and intend to fix that.

Id try the sunscreen. I just read the expiration date on ours and realized it was earlier this year. Band aids would be good too since my 3 year old is in the "must have a band aid for everything" mode.

I would be interested in trying their sunscreen. It's that time of year and sunscreen can be so "iffy", not to mention very expensive. So trying store brands to save money & see if they work is the only way to know.

I use the Walgreens allergy meds for my kids.

I would love to try the sunscreen. With a red-headed child we go through a LOT of sunscreen at our house.

Not only do I get my monthly prescription from Walgreens, but I've used their bandaids, ibuprofin, anti-itch creams, and, yes, even recently had occasion to need their athlete's foot cream (yuck!)--all work great! $100 from Walgreens would be great--I'd like to get some of their sunscreen!

I will definitely try the sunscreen. If Walgreen's has their own version of Miralax, I would buy that for my daughter who is taking it on a regular basis. I would love to save money on that!

I shop at Walgreens all the time and usually by the Wal-brand anyway, but I should try the sunscreen the next time I need some!

Their sunblock is good. I'm a big fan of their Wal-Dryl and their brand of Aleve. Buy my tissues and tape, powder and soap there.
I will add you to my prayer list, if that's ok, for the melanoma?

I buy store brands quite often to save money! I find that in most cases the products are just as good if not better than the national brands! We could really use some new items to stock our medecine cabinet, so we would probably put this towards ibuprofin, first aid items, baby pain reliever, and cold meds. Thanks so much for the chance to win!

I love being store brands, especially if they actually work as well as the name brands. At walgreens I buy their version of tylenol arthritis medication. It is the only thing that stops my pain. Thanks for the great giveaway!
