Anyone up for a Challenge?

So, the New Year is coming up in a bit more than two weeks.  New Year's Resolutions are special to me.  I was thinking that it'd be a good time for a challenge.  Anyone up for that?

Should we do an exercise challenge?  A food challenge?  A running challenge?  A weight loss challenge?

Who's in?

I'd be up for some kind of exercise challenge. That is my biggest 'challenge' area, and I know it is going to be the key if I am going to lose another 10 lb.(I've kept the first 10 off.) This might just be the kick in the butt that I need!

I'm up -- my husband just lost 30 pounds in 4 months (I kind of hate him, it took me almost 1 year to lose 25!). I need to lose 20 more. I'm good with the food part, I just need an exercise motivation.

I'd also be up for an exercise challenge. I am, (against the fear and loathing I feel about it!) starting the Couch to 5K program today. I've never run in my life, and we'll see how my joints take this turn of events, but I'm going to at least make the attempt!

Here's to us all!

I would be up for an exercise challenge. Or a food challenge.

No weight loss for me, but I was planning on an exercise resolution regardless.

I want to be stronger a year from now. Right now, my weights are only 5 pounds, and I've been lifting for a few months!

Exercise challenge - please. I am ready. I hope that the type of exercise will be left open to us but frequency and time spent is the challenge! I need someone to check in with and have a goal with so - great! Keep us posted.

I'm in. And I'm back. Don't know if you remember me...but it doesn't matter! :-) I'm back online and trying to get back in the saddle with the eating/exercise but I'm failing miserably at the moment. I'm up for a challenge to help get me back on track and keep me there. Still looking at losing 50-60 pounds and lately my body feels very weak and stiff and I ache all the time. I'm sure it's because I desperately need to exercise! So...count me in for whatever challenge you decide to do. I need to work on it all.

Any challenge. Any. Think couch potato...and then mash me. I did so well there for awhile, and have not only fallen off the wagon, but have been run over by it as well. We have a new rec center opening next week and I will be going...if for no other reason than to give my Body Pump class-teaching friends a reason to laugh at me. LOL! Eh, it ain't that bad, just feels like it. ; )

Yep Yep Yep!!! An exercise challenge sounds great...

I signed up over the The Amazing Shrinking Mom too! :)

I'm up for a challenge. More & better exercise is my goal for now, but would be up for any challenge :)

Any of the above!! I would also be up for having a personal/small group to keep in touch with on a regular basis to keep me accountable if anyone is interested... while I'm focussed on weight loss, chances are good an exercise challenge will take care of that while building the good habits I'd like to have for the rest of my life.

Count me in

Me too!! I'm excited! Weight Loss and/or exercise CHALLENGE! How cool a New Year that would be! Congrats on 18yrs. Carmen! Time flies, doesn't it?

Hi Carmen!

I work on the Brita account at Edelman and we are gearing up for a partnership with “The Biggest Loser.” I see you’re looking for a new challenge in 2008 and thought you might be interested in learning about the new resolution “The Biggest Loser” is taking on next year—Brita and FilterForGood are partnering with “The Biggest Loser” throughout season six, starting Jan. 1, to eliminate bottled water from the ranch in efforts to help contestants reduce their waists and their waste. Bottled water waste has become a very real environmental concern, with more than 38 billion disposable bottles sent to U.S. landfills each year. Trainers and contestants will pledge to use FilterForGood reusable bottles in an effort to take positive steps toward a healthier body and a healthier planet. You can check out the FFG bottles and take a pledge to reduce bottled water waste at FilterForGood.

What does this have to do with you? We’d like to get you involved and send you a Brita faucet-mounted filtration system and FFG bottle so you too can take the pledge and help reduce bottled water waste! If you want to involve your readers in a giveaway or contest, we can also provide a few extra Brita faucet-mount systems and FilterForGood bottles for you to share with readers. How you give them away is entirely up to you—perhaps a random drawing, choosing the best comments about the “The Biggest Loser” banning bottled water, or the best tips for baby steps toward green living.

As I’m sure you know, “The Biggest Loser” takes contestants and viewers on an unforgettable journey – challenging them to transform their bodies, their health and ultimately their lives. The show has always been dedicated to improving contestant’s health and now they are taking steps to help improve Mother Earth’s health, too!

Let me know if you need any additional information or have any questions!

Best,
Georgeanna

Was that spam? I'm unconvinced that "Biggest Loser" encourages folks to lose weight in a healthy, sensible way. Hmmmm.. Carmen?

This year I did'nt wait for the New Years resolution and I started eating better and exercising like a mad dog the first of November. I was not going to buy new sizes because of out of control holiday eating. I have lost 15 1/2 pounds and I am feeling great. I sleep so much better and have more energy. I don't miss a day of working out, I get anxiety thinking about missing my exercise. Your blog is such an inspiration to me, I have been lurking for months and you give me hope. I am at the beggining of my journey but hope to be in your shoes next year. My New Years resolution is to train for running a 10k (now that I have put it in print I am going to have to do it!) Thanks for your help!

Happy Holidays!
