What's Up for the Weekend?

You know, the responses that you all gave to the Happy Weight below were interesting.  Lots of you felt that the numbers were good for you. Some of you were shocked that you were below that number and felt that where you were was better, and some of you felt that the calculated numbers were way too low.  I don't know if I buy it or not.  I will say that my numbers came out right where I am now, and this is a weight that I've been able to maintain for 10 months, with eating a treat every once in a while, not feeling as if I'm deprived.

I don't know if the calculations work on men, but I tried them on my husband and he comes out to 154, which I've seen him at and he looks emaciated.  Try it and see what you think.

Now, I want to know your weekend fitness plans - Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  Firm committment gets it done, eh?

Friday I will be at the gym at 5:30 and do 45 minutes heavy weight work.  After work I'll do an abs dvd, and walk on the treadmill in the afternoon.

Saturday I have capoeira.  After class I always stay after and do 20 minutes of pushups and sit ups.

Sunday I plan to run.

You?

Comments

Friday - walk the Beagle we're trying to deplump.

Saturday - Run 8 miles with the Beagle we're trying to deplump.

Sunday - Half Marathon benefitting the local Child Advocacy center

Did I mention we're trying to help over overly plump Beagle?

I don't think it works on men. I stopped when I got to the wrist measurements. Hubby probably does have a large frame, but the calculations went wonky after that.

Exercise? Ack. Okay, video once and weights once.

Would really love to get out and walk but it might be raining. Video instead, and aerobic housecleaning-I'm STILL behind from being sick.

We adopted a dog last weekend so I think there will be plenty of walking involved this weekend - as there has been all week! Plus I'm playing (field) hockey on Saturday. That should do it I think! Have a great weekend, everybody :-)

Weekend plan? Pickup eliptical machine that my SIL is so generously giving to me and actually use the machine. Oh....yeah, clean up basement playroom so there is room for said machine. That alone will probably be workout enough for me.

Hubby is taking my oldest camping with the cub scouts this weekend. Which means I have to exerice in the house when my younger 2 are sleeping. I already did an hour video cardio/weight training this morning. I'm hoping (if I can get the baby down) to do 30 minutes on the eliptical machine tonight and tomorrow morining. If the weather is good I plan to walk/jog Sunday, when Hubby gets home. If not then more eliptical machine.

Just found your blog and LOVE. IT.

Friday, well, tonight, I'll be running 7 miles.

Saturday morning, 5 mile race down on the river. It crosses two bridges, so it'll be good hill training which I desperately need.

Sunday equals r-e-s-t. I do nothing but catch up on house work on Sundays.

I'm in the beginning stages of following a 12-week plan for running a half-marathon (it's found at Hal Higdon's home page halhigdon.com). So, week 2 has me resting today, doing a four mile run on Saturday, and 30 minute cross train on Sunday. Yeah!!

Um... Yes, I should probably make better exercise plans.

I tried my husband's height in the formula and yeah, I don't think it works for men. He's 6'4" and I ended up with 196 (added the 5lbs for kids, ha). His doctor wants him to be 225 (he's currently 310, eek!).

Friday - spent couple of hours (1 at noon and 1 after work) doing martial arts
Saturday - plan on heading back to dojo for two more hours of martial arts - LOVE IT!
Sunday - run with dog

this is for next weekend right? Considering I last checked last night and this question wasn't nere....
I cleaned like crazy today. If possible will hit the gym tomorrow before work. Gotta get it back in. My pre vegas/texas trip workouot disappeared once I got on the plane. Can you believe that Bally's charges $22 a day for priviledge of using their gym? So we did the steps in the hotel that day instead until we saw security watching us from a bridge. Then we walked/ran the strip. We forgot how bad your feet hurt after walking a show for 10+ hours a day. My feet were swollen there was no hope of exercise except walking the show. Then once I got to TX more walking the Riverwalk in San Antonio. So no 'formal' workout...but lots of walking. I so need to get to the gym....my arms will thank me

I work for the Air Force and my base has a 1 million pushup/sit up challenge. We have a ten person team (and I am assuming there are 9 more) and we're supposed to do 50 a day for 100 days to total 10,000 each. I was too sore this weekend from boxing on my Wii so I had to make up for them today. I neded up doing 190 pushups and let me tell you, I am going to feel it in the morning. I did learn one thing this morning--the faster you do them, the less they hurt!
