The Great Push Up Challenge
I'm late to the party. I've seen this in multiple places around the Internet. I've decided to join.
What am I talking about?
The One Hundred Push Up Challenge. Wanna join? Flip over here and read about it. I'll wait.
I took the test today and did 20 pushups. That puts me in level three. I'll do the three days a week on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Week one looks doable, future weeks scare the pants off me.
Are you game?

Gah, you've hit my weak spot. Direct hit. OK, I'm in. If nothing else, I'll increase my wimpy 5 pushups to 10. Hey, doubling my original # wouldn't be SO bad would it?

20? Impressive! Good luck on the plan and thanks for joining....

Gosh, I haven't taken the test yet but I'm sure I'll be in the under 10 category. I can give it a try though!

It's ON, Baby! I can do ten :( which is ALOT less than third degree requirements back in 2001 in one of my other lives! Anyway, do you have a resource on how to do the "proper" push up? I mean, we are talkin' USMC boot camp requirement type, yes?
OOH RAH!

I keep thinking "I'd really like strong, buff arms..." I guess this is where that thinking business gets me in trouble! I'm game (although very frightened for my currently weak and wimpy arms)

I'm in - but why, oh why, can't they be girl ones? Ugh, I will probably be in level 1 or level 2, which at least means I won't have to do too much for the first week. I've been trying to improve my upper arm strength. I do wish the site would go into the proper way to do a pushup a little more (like how far down you have to go, making sure not to stick your butt in the air, etc).

I'm in. Tested on Sunday and could barely eke out 2!!!!! My days are Mon, Wed and Fri and I'm fairly certain it will take me considerably longer than 6 weeks to hit this goal. But I'm going to plug away, repeating weeks where I need to.

20?! you rock!
I'm in too...but definitely starting with level one. :)

Starting today with the push ups in level one.I have been walking in the early morning for three weeks now(can't believe I'm actually doing it) and I do need to add some strenth work. Also, I wanted to thank You Carmen for posting that black bean recipe a while ago.We have the beans at least once a week. They taste good, fill lots of hungry tummies and it's a low cost meal....even some of my bean haters love them. Thank You!!

My goal is to run a 5K and be able to do 16 pushups. I'm getting close on the 5K, so I guess it's time to take the next step (and up my goal). But I'm sure it will take longer than 6 weeks.
I think I'm going to try and get my husband and kids to do it too. Even though they're young, it's never to soon to start making exerise a regular part of life. Right?

I've been avoiding this post for 3 days now.... Ok, I'll try!

I am in. Amazingly enough, i have been working out for some time now and i can only do 3 pushups. Sad!

Um...I'm right with another reader, I'm game to try, but what about the girl push ups? It doesn't say anything in there about it.
On a side note, I'm going to attempt walking a mile to work out, lift, then walk home. It'll be my first time since Thursday of completely having a shoe on with my stitches. It's my only attempt of cardio and I'm skipping kickboxing tonight (which I hate) but really want the stitches to be able to come out before I go to Florida. Running in the ocean ranks over going to kickboxing I guess.
