Which juice has the fewest calories per serving - pomegranate, apple or grapefruit?
How many gallons of juice does the average child between the ages of 6 and 11 drink in a year?
What's one of the best, and worst, things that you can drink for your diet?
Answers?
Grapefruit, 19, and juice. But you already knew the answer to number 3, right?
JUICE. In moderation, there isn't too much that's bad for you. Juice can be a great source of vitamins, especially Vitamin C. There are often juices with calcium added, particularly helpful if you have kids that don't drink milk. There's a big difference, though, between juice and juice blends, which mix juice with sweeteners, color and flavor additives. Juice drinks, flavored waters, teas and the like - and you all know that there's precious little, if any, juice in things like Fanta and Snapple - can wreck more havoc on a diet than you'd think possible.
I'm not advocating that no one ever drink juice. 100% fruit juice, mixed in a blender with frozen fruit and protein powder, makes one of my favorite beverages. I'm a fan, in particular of V-8 Frusion juice. It makes a great smoothie.
When in doubt, eat whole fruit. It fills you up for very little calories, most of it has a bonus of fiber, and it tastes good - win all around!

I've had juice on the brain today myself, as I keep Sam's glass filled with watered-down OJ to keep him hydrated (it's in the mid-90s!). It was SO tempting to have a glass myself, but I refrained.

My kids don't touch juice anymore, save the occasional juice box-after game snack during sports. I keep oj around for an occasional glass in the morning. Do you have a yummy protein drink recipe for oj? I need one for busy mornings!

Grape juice is a great juice! All the benefits as in a glass of red wine, but without the added cancer risk. I like to save my cancer risk for martinis.
