Six weeks of Physical Therapy. Six long, long weeks - I think. Maybe it was four? Anyway, I don't know HOW long it was, but it was way, way too long. (No offense to those at the therapy office who may very well be reading this - I love you guys, but I was so, so ready to be out of there.)
I WAS RELEASED FROM PHYSICAL THERAPY TODAY. Cue the fancy music and the rejoicing in the streets.
Whoot! I'm so delighted that I can't even tell you. So, here's the plan. Tomorrow, I'm out for a 3-4 mile walk. Wednesday, the same, and Thursday and Friday I'm to add a tiny bit of running. TINY bit. Then, next week, I can return to martial arts classes for three days. The following week, I'm up to five. If all goes well, then I can return to six classes a week. I have five physical therapy visits remaining and they are to be held in reserve. If I'm in pain or uncomfortable at any time in the next three weeks, I can cash in on those visits.
So now the work begins. I have to begin all over again with running. I'm thinking about starting the Couch to 5k. I'm up a pants size from where I want to be, so now the fun is on the horizon!

I want to do couch to 5k too. As soon as we finish our move, I'm all over it. Right now I'm getting very regular strength traing in lifting boxes. :)

I started back with zest last week. I'm walking for (give or take) 45 minutes, 100 push ups, and the 200 sit ups programs. I'm starting off easy so I don't burn out or hurt too bad.
Yay! no more pt!!!

Congrats Carmen
I was in my former pt office with my dd yesterday and my therapist asked how my back was and uh....well ....us not as good as it was last year.
But, on the + side, I have brought my stability back into the house so I can work on my core muscles if I choose to. And I know I should as I trouble trying to start the lawn mower today with the pull cord @@
We always know what we are suppose to be doing but why is it so freaking hard to implement day in and day out?
