What do you do when you are invited to a Christmas Cookie Exchange - you know, bring a dozen (or six) cookies and exchange them with your friends, and bring home several different types of cookies?
Do you bring a type of cookie that you like, knowing that, in all probability, you will end up eating a ton of raw dough while baking?
Do you take a chance and bring a cookie that you hate, hoping that other people will like it enough to take it?
Do you go, eat a few cookies and leave, bringing none home?
Or do you bring home your fair share and try to give them away before you eat them all?
Or do you try to make a healthier cookie - or is there even such a thing? I saw this recipe online - No Fat, No Sugar, No Flour Chocolate cookies that actually taste good - and I wonder if they are all they sound.
What do you do?

I just go for it.
But since I'm the one that can stay away from sweets, it's easy for me. I'd make cookies that I love so I could have one or two that would make me happy, then exchange for others that my family would eat, which would make them happy.

I would take my favorite cookie but limit the nibbles. By participating in an exchange you are giving your kids and hubby the chance to have a variety but the nibbling while baking is limited to one time.

I just eat them, I have a very hard time with the idea of "not allowed" it results in MAJOR quanties of "not allowed" getting inside me. Now though, I make cookies for a purpose. I will make say 3 dozen chocolate chip cookies and 2.5doz will be allocated to lunches, the other 6? yeah I totally inhale 5 and leave 1 for hubbie, I don't need him getting fat. :P

I’m a raw vegan and frankly this time of year can be tough. Trying to accommodate my dinner guests as well as being surrounded by tons of junky and processed foods can get way out of hand. Someone at the local whole foods recommended I check out this site www.RoseCole.com/HolidayCookbook . It has tons of vegan/raw vegan/sugar free/ dairy free/gluten free recipes. I’ve tested out a few on some NON-vegan friends and they loved them!

This year I made homemade pecan turtles with unsweetened chocolate, agave, pecans, and sea salt. I felt totally fine about eating them and giving them out!

Carmen:
Weve talked before(that whole catholic thing and all). Here is my situation, because of finances joining a gym insnt in the cards right now. I have started walking, not very far of course as I am right now 230 lbs and should be like 130(im 5'3). I am walking at least three times a week, have cut out all sugar, am eating vegies and cutting out most red meat(have been to the doctor and he seems to think im on the right path).
Should i add ankle weights when walking..its cold on the east coast so im usually bundled up to. Im just so tired of being fat, and at 41 I just dont want to die.
